"Stiiizy or Rove?" is one of the most common vape questions in California and the West, where the two brands share shelves. Both make strain-named, unflavored carts, and both lean on their own hardware. The differences that matter are hardware lock-in, oil type, price and where you live.

We compared the two using BDSA's national sales ranking, each brand's own FAQ and product pages (checked 2026-10-07), and our own brand and product scores. herbyBud researches and tracks these products; we have not lab-tested them.

Sales and growth

BDSA ranks STIIIZY the #1 vape brand in the U.S. and the #1 brand across all categories. Vape is 51% of STIIIZY's $671M in total sales, and its signature pod cartridge remains the core of the business, with live resin pods a growing second pillar. BDSA notes STIIIZY's vape sales were "down modestly" year over year as competition in cartridge formats picked up.

Rove is #3 behind STIIIZY and Select. Its vape sales grew 25%, from $144.4M to $180.1M, and vape is 80% of Rove's business. BDSA says Rove's live resin pod cartridges are its single largest revenue driver, with distillate 510 carts a secondary volume line and kit sales (battery plus cart bundles) a significant extra stream.

Hardware and batteries

STIIIZY is a closed pod system. Its pods only fit STIIIZY batteries. The STIIIZY FAQ lists the Pro (210 mAh) and Pro XL (550 mAh) with three power settings and preheat, and the STIIIZY BAR, which holds two 1G pods and has four voltage levels. STIIIZY recommends a standard 210 mAh battery for its Solventless pods and says the higher-output BIIIG battery is not recommended for them. Its pods page notes that current batteries are for use with pods sold after March 20, 2026, so check the pack before pairing old and new gear.

Rove is half pod, half 510. Rove's FAQ says the Diamond Series uses a proprietary pod system while the Classics line uses a universal 510 thread. That makes Rove the more flexible pick if you already own a 510 battery.

Battery Price Fits
Rove Diamond Series Minibar $20 Rove Diamond Pods only
Rove Slim $22 All Rove cartridges
Rove Diamond Series Battery $25 Rove Diamond Pods only

Rove prices are from Rove's battery shop on 2026-10-07. STIIIZY's current battery list prices are in our STIIIZY pod and battery price guide. Rove says its batteries carry a lifetime warranty; STIIIZY's FAQ offers a 90-day exchange window on defective batteries.

Price

Neither brand gives you one national price. STIIIZY's FAQ says independent licensed retailers set pod prices. Rove's FAQ says its cartridges typically fall between $30 and $80, depending on the product.

Product Format Price anchor Source
STIIIZY Blue Dream Pod 1g proprietary pod ~$40 herbyBud catalog
Rove Featured Farms Cart 1g 510 cart ~$35 herbyBud catalog
Any Rove cartridge Varies by line $30 to $80 typical Rove FAQ
Average U.S. cartridge, all brands Cart ~$18 Headset vapor pens

On our catalog anchors the Rove cart comes in about $5 cheaper than the STIIIZY pod, which is why Rove scores 86 on value against STIIIZY's 78. Shelf prices move with state taxes and promotions, so compare on your dispensary's live menu. For the full STIIIZY breakdown, see STIIIZY pod and battery prices.

Oil and flavor

STIIIZY sorts its pods by formula: Original pods use botanically derived terpenes formulated for each cultivar, Cannabis Derived Profile pods use cannabis-derived terpenes, and Live Resin Liquid Diamonds pods mix liquefied diamonds with live resin, per its pods page. STIIIZY's FAQ says live resin and CDT pods are made in selected batches, so they're sometimes out of stock.

Rove leads with live resin. Its Diamond Series is "melted live resin diamonds" at up to 95% potency, Classics are 90% potency everyday carts, and Premier offers limited exotic runs in ice rosin, live resin and cured resin (Rove vaporizers). Rove also sells the single-source Featured Farms line. For every Rove strain and flavor, see best Rove carts by line and flavor.

Both brands keep things unflavored and strain-named, sorted by indica, sativa and hybrid, according to BDSA. Live resin and rosin are now 32% of all vape sales; see our cannabis concentrate statistics for the wider live resin and rosin market.
