What CBD does and does not do

CBD — cannabidiol — is the most prominent non-intoxicating cannabinoid in cannabis. It will not get you high. Instead it interacts with the endocannabinoid system more subtly, and many people use it for calm, recovery, and general wellness. It can also blunt some of THC's sharper edges, which is why balanced products pair the two deliberately.

CBD is the most studied cannabinoid after THC, and it anchors a huge market of oils, gummies, and topicals. Effects are gentler and slower to notice than THC's, so expectations matter: CBD is a dimmer switch, not a light switch. Consistency over days tends to matter more than any single dose.

Full-spectrum, broad-spectrum, or isolate

CBD products come in three flavors. Full-spectrum keeps the whole plant's compounds, including trace THC, to harness the entourage effect — but that trace THC can matter for drug tests. Broad-spectrum removes the THC while keeping other compounds. Isolate is pure CBD, flavorless and THC-free, ideal for precise dosing or strict avoidance of THC.

Which to choose depends on your goals and your tolerance for any THC at all. If you want the fullest effect and THC is fine, go full-spectrum. If you need to stay clear of THC, broad-spectrum or isolate is the safer call. Either way, demand a current COA so you know what you are actually getting.
