Endocannabinoid system

The network of receptors and signaling molecules in the human body that cannabinoids interact with, helping regulate mood, appetite, pain, and sleep. THC works by mimicking the body's own endocannabinoids at CB1 and CB2 receptors. This system is why cannabis affects so many different functions at once.
